Entrepreneur by choice or by reason?

I met lots of people in last year, some of them are entrepreneur by choice and some entrepreneur by reason; both type entrepreneur are hard working and doing their business in a best way they can do by their fullest knowledge, skills and leadership quality. But I found pretty significant difference between these two type entrepreneur they are different in many ways.

Starting a business?  From eye of  entrepreneur by choice

"Entrepreneur by choice" they dig down in all documentation process, make the business plan, marketing strategy, financial sheets and all other stuff which can make their business successful. They all are more like the students who learn the leadership, entrepreneurship in B-Schools and they do in the same way they taught in school, just because we heard this from our teachers/parents/friends etc. I also think it is good practice and shown its importance but sometime my heart start talking about other side of coin, what will happen if somebody don't have all this?

Starting business? From eye of "Entrepreneur by reason"
"Entrepreneur by reason" sorry they are not having much time for business plan, market analysis, financial sheets, they just have a reason to start the business, they already having a problem and trying to solve that. Rather stuck in business plan, marketing strategy and all B-School taught lessons all we hear; they don't wait for finding that all signals are green to drive a car but they start driving a car and finds the way to reach towards solution. Some time they succeed and sometime they fail but they are more towards finding a solution.

On the contrary "Entrepreneur by choice" try to find the reason why this business would be beneficial through business plan, market analysis, financial study.

-------------------------------

Running a business From eye of "Entrepreneur by choice"
As these type entrepreneurs are going through the well documented process to define what exactly they are going to do with business in first year, second year, third, fourth and fifth. They have lots of thing to focus; whether marketing strategy going with their thoughts which they earlier mentioned in business plan, whether profit ratio is closer to their expectation, whether expenditure is more then profit, reason behind idea was strong enough to sustain in market and too many questions?? question mark???? and more question mark??

Running a business From eye of "Entrepreneur by reason"
A entrepreneur who has the reason behind initiating a business is pretty different when they come to running a business. This type entrepreneur focus doesn't land in overcrowded market of question, they usually have one question how to solve the problem, whether require more finance to solve the problem, how much time it is going to do so. They are not more into profit making thing, they are solving the problem, they are like crazy, they dedicate all their time to solve the time and forget all. When they solve the problem they quickly move to another problem.

Entrepreneur by choice aren't much focused on solving the problem they are more towards how to make the business successful.

-------------------------------

Goal From eye of "Entrepreneur by reason"
In concise way I can say that "Entrepreneur by reason" kind of entrepreneur always run behind the solution to the problem and that's becomes their goal.

Goal From eye of "Entrepreneur by choice"
On the other hand "Entrepreneur by choice" explored the reason on which he/she can build the business they look to solve the problem too but their focus lands on growing the business so their goal always remain in court of business success.

Now I personally feel that IT industry lacking the "entrepreneur by reason" most of them are just "entrepreneur by choice".

Check where you stands "entrepreneur by reason" or "entrepreneur by choice".

My Friend Entrepreneur & his spoken english classes @ Rs.99

Entrepreneurship, a word excites, energize and motivate us to do something with strong motive of changing the world. One of my friend, Vipin Shakya, deep dived into endless sea of entrepreneurship with his impressive business model. I am going to share some sneak peak about his business

Stepps, towards great leap (Check Website)
In this global era communication is so important and ENGLISH has become the main source. Our day to day life is slowly moving towards globalization which has put knowledge of English into streamline. Now a days English is not something which we use to show off our higher social status but it has become our need. Our jobs are pretty much depends upon how good we are in ENGLISH, All IT companies requires the employee who has the  good command over this native language (as I am talking about India) but this is not the case with IT only, most of the good reputed companies also have same need for their Manager, PR and higher management peoples.

By keeping this fact in mind my friend Vipin initiated Spoken English Classes with amazing state-of-the art center at AGRA (City of "TAJMAHAL").

I had a word with Vipin to know more about STEPSS:

Stepps in Vipin's word "Stepps is not just about spoken English institute; here I'll help students to cultivate leadership quality so they will get better jobs and lots of success on professional and personal grounds.

He also told me about his new Spoken Class package in which he is offering one month classes at just Rs.99/- so his classes can be in reach of every general public.

I am really amazed with his noble thought of running the classes at just mere fee of Rs.99/- for complete month.

I am sure lucky 15 students will be more confident when they complete the one month classes, so if you want to enroll, enroll now.

Everyone in business is CREATIVE!

Me and my friends were standing outside Art Store in Chandigarh and one of my friends said "Wow, what a creative design and all nodded the head unanimously and next words from him were why I am not creative". I just had few words for him "You are doing very well in your industry and working as sales manager what else you need" but he still remained on his words and said he is not creative. I didn't argue with him as I didn't have right answer for him, but just before 15 min I was going through my management book and found great thoughts

Everyone in business is CREATIVE

Some of the most creative people are in Manufacturing they actually create the product that change the world.

Some of the least creative people perhaps are in advertising, they spend most of their time telling manufacturers that they...aren't creative!

Salespeople Are Creative - They are natural story-tellers.

Accountants are creative.

Now I can say my friend you are Creative!

New way to find #help, #suggestions, #events and #info on Google+

I was logged on Google plus last night and about to go offline then I saw one post from Jessica Gottlieb. She wants some help to create recurring monthly invoice in paypal and luckily I got the link on youtube where complete procedure was well defined and forwarded that link to her.

She was very happy from this small effort of mine and me too. Helping other always gives the pleasure that we are doing something worth to remember by us.

Last night one good idea stroked in my mind to create the strong environment where user can easily find the help from other member of Google+ and even suggestions, events details and much more, it is possible with with uniform keywords with #Hashtag. If we use one uniform keyword while we need any help from others we all can find help easily and even help others so quick & easily.

So below is my 4 favorite uniform keywords

1.         #help
2.         #suggestions
3.         #events
4.         #info

You can add many more into this list but the more important thing is we all know this and use when we want to know something from another users, who knows it create unique helping zone inside Google plus and even possible that google start sharing this info on search engine.

Why I added #hashtag?
Hashtags on Google Plus is a feature that allows hash tagged keywords on Google Plus to directly link to search results around that topic, I think we all are familiar with this in twitter and it works same in G+. Hashtags on Google Plus (#) also work in every keyboard language.

Find all #help, #suggestion, #event and #info under these keywords which can be easily accessible through search area of Google plus. WHILE YOU SEARCH YOY DON'T NEED TO PUT #HASHTAG.

I hope from this we'll be able to help other and get some help quickly when we need.

Help others, it really help you....

Make them "SMILE", they really need it :)

I know we all love to click the pic of ourself & loving ones to keep the memory; never ever tried to click the pic of real smile of street kids....may we shy little bit or don't think its important.. but may our photo can get the smile on their face, atleast for few seconds..Don't hesitate to click one and upload on your blog, flicker or post on facebook wall or send to me @  udbhavbca@gmail.com ....I know you can..may you hesitate little but you can do...do this time.

"Weekendsmile.org"  , "a community of volunteer photographers who click pictures of street kids, to give them back a printed copy, so that these kids can have a memory of their lifetime!"

I am going to do this, will  you do?

Does your products or service website has reviews? if yes then how you handle the bad reviews?

All of us have heard lots of time that customer reviews are really good for business and act like a word of mouth publicity, It is 100% true and we have seen the impact of it on ebay (most advanced customer review central) and on Amazon. Now we have search result finding from Google also

According to Google, websites has the tendencies to get the most of the reviews from best customers as much as 80% and probability of getting the good reviews is far more then we get the bad reviews, but there is still chance of getting the bad reviews and few bad reviews can easily demolish your reputation on internet. Review being critical part of your success so how you planned to cop up with that.

Following are the points which can help you to handle the situation.

Don't quit or alter the reviews
First big mistake some entrepreneurs do is to shut down the review section or make it partially open to clients. All reviews first verified by their staff and then posted on website, by doing this they lost the trust of valuable customers from company and even they will never like to come back.

Bad reviewer loves you & knows more about your product or service
May above line confused you little bit ( more then I anticipated :D) but we have to admit that good reviews mostly end within 1 or 2 lines maximum 4 lines but the bad reviews have more then 4 lines, sometime more then full length paragraph and pickup each & every problem associated with your products, they will let you know you how they figured out & sometimes tells how it should work. They know more about your product very well and when they come across to one problem they start seeing the very minor bug which happy clients ignored. Critics are important to excel and they will remain important always

Accept flaws in product and promise to solve asap
If there is any flaw in product please accept and promise clients to solve it asap or announce the next version in which you will solve the problem. It will also help you to regain customers' trust and also keep other people interested in your updates (some news websites, open blogging platforms etc). You can update about progress at regular interval and ask them if they found any other problem so you can cover as much as possible problems in single update. Products and services can have error/bugs but important part is whether we remove them or not and If you succeed to remove and come up error free solution, customer will love your product more then they like before.

Notify publicly when you solves problem
When you solve the problem please notify on your website. Tell other about the issue raised by clients in detail and publish how you solved the problem and help your company to build pool of loyal customer, they know that they not only get good product/service but they will get good customer support also. You can write one good blog post on how you find out the problem and solved it, send email newsletter to all your client & news companies, press release and you can show your gratuity towards the client who told you about errors. Next time give them free product for beta testing and I am sure they will love it. Tell them, they helped lot in making the product or service better and ask them how you can make your service/product better with small note for spreading the mouth of word about your product/swervice.

Always keep edit/update button for review section
Once you have solve the problem and let customers and people know about this you can take benefit of this and ask customer to re-write or edit the previous reviews "highlight edited reviews or new reviews from client who has used your product or service"

Its amazing if you get good reviews but it is not bad if you get the bad reviews ;)

Bright Sunday !

This is what I say to myself on every Sunday morning. I love this day from my childhood, I think this day always remained most amazing day of mine life till today. This day I can sleep till 8:00 or 9:00 AM, sometime 11:00 AM also, my parents always provided me liberty to enjoy this day as I like. After doing the day to day stuff I used to keep myself busy in foolish, creative, adventures task. Something which I did in my childhood on Sunday was one of the most memorable things of my life and taught me so much.

From one Sunday, I understood how to help other to achieve their goals at the same time fulfilling own goals.

I Win you Win

This is the idea from my childhood on Sunday, it was "I Win You Win" with interesting story. I made this game to make sure that everybody win the toy which they want.

Near to my house there was small store which has the game zone and Chit Gifts (Children need to pick the chit from hundreds of chits and then gets the prize based on chit number, if chit has 10 number and then the price corresponding to 10 number in Chart will be the prize e.g. small racing car, doll, spider man etc ).

We all love this game but I usually lost all my money but couldn't win which I need and what I won was useless to me. This frustration popped up great idea in my mind, as I couldn't win what I want so it is possible that some of my friends couldn't win what they want so I added the one flavor of mine in this chit game.

Everybody has to give some amount to get their favorite toy from chart (Total collection most of the time remained Rs.10, less or more) and we purchase the chits from this amount and every contributor will pick one chit so we have more luck (  :) With the mentality, If one's luck is bad then it is possible that other will have good luck). If 'X' got the prize which selected by 'Y' then he can pass that toy to 'X' and if 'Z' wins the toy which is selected by 'Y' then 'Z' can give that toy to 'Y'.

Next time only those people will select toy who didn't get their favorite toy from chart in first attempt. Everybody gives their best shot to win the toy which they want or other want. This process runs until we all have our favorite toys or we run out of money which we collected. Most of the time we lost all money but couldn't fulfill all member wish but always remained happy that our friends got what they need because of us and play together from the toys we win. We love to win but not only for ourself but for all.

"I was unaware of value of that Sunday's game which brought up my team building capability and let me learn - how to fulfill own goals by fulfilling other's?"

"Sunday is Bright and remain for me always"

Why one page web designs?

I always feel good when I see designs on csmania, cssline and in smashing magazine they always pick up best designs and became the source of inspiration for creative designs. Some days ago I was checking the websites in cssmania and found single page website; same time one question popped up in my mind; Is this possible to optimize these single page website? do they really don't require google help to drive the customer in or they are more fascinated towards social media or business network or there is chance to optimize the single page website at some extent.

I want to know so I made following questionnaire to cover all major issues related to one page site (I tried to keep my questionnaire simple with limited question)
1.   Why you opted the one page design?
2.   Do you want to build design studio or design company?
3.   What is your promotion strategy with this?
4.   Are you confident enough that your strategy will work with single page website?
5.   Would you remain forever single page website or turn into big portal?
6.   Anything else which I don't know but should know (I'll be grateful to your guidance)

Where to find interesting events?

When 2011 started, I had a strong mission of attending at least 5 good conference but it is almost 3 quarter of year passed but couldn't got the chance to attend one. Today I thought of finding the good conferences around Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore or Hyderabad (All these place belongs to INDIA - OUTSOURCING LIVES HERE), luckily I also belong to this industry :). My search landed me to some good event resources so I would like to share them here in my blog post:

Eventbrite
This is the best platform to find the events & you can easily find almost every good and popular events is going to held in upcoming time. This website also give you option to create your own events and sell the tickets from there, I really loved it. You can share the event on facebook from here.

Mashable
Mashable makes the good and popular events list from different resources. From here you can find the events going to held in October http://mashable.com/2011/05/02/5-2-social-media-tech-events/

Brighttalk
This is one of the bright platform to find the best webinars easily and be a part of it, ask question (If Host authorizes it) online and have the facility to watch them later on. This is the place which give me little sigh of relief that I can't go and attend the good events but I  can be part of good webinars.

I know there is some more good platform to find the events but couldn't find now so doing search again and if you know, please feel free to share with me so I can add them in my blog :)

I found one more place to find the events, it is www.plancast.com

Plancast

I really liked the idea of Plancast.com they aren't just displaying the events but providing the details which events your facebook friends or twitter followers or following also attending. Here you can plan the events in which you are going to attending or will attend.
