Fuck You Pay Me

Fuck you pay me  :(

I never dreamt of using these words to my clients, my loving clients. They were very good to me, appraised my work so much. Promised me lots of work and I was working for them unconditionally without even asking them to pay invoices on time as I was confident they will pay me soon.

Now months are passing and what I am getting from them, YOU HAVE ASSURANCE from my side to get paid soon but not now or I have got something great in my bucket and I have put this project on back burner for 6 months so I'll pay you after 6 months. WOW! But I need to pay wages to my employees and I can't say them that you have assurance that you will get paid but for sometime please live without any money, you can go for fast for 6 months its good for health or lend money from bank to live you life which they were enjoying with their salaries.

Client don't understand this, according to them delay in delivery is un-professional and delay in payments is  ABSOLUTELY FINE and otherwise they will not give you good feedback or post something bad about you on Social Media (I hate social media for this because how hard you justify yourself there are still chances your reputation will get hit badly from that ugly comment or video or blog) we can't utter a word as they have got whatever they need from us.

What is even worse if you have client in other country as it becomes really hard to chase them, thanks to Voicemail they don't even have to worry about picking my call AWESOME.

Sometime ago I read a discussion over linkedin that Elance is dead and soon Likedin will be dead, is this because of India? LOL really, I mean really. Whenever good company or individual gets the work and complete that on time, what they deserve delay in payments which don't even frustrating and even heart breaking. "I am doing awesome job and now why there is delay in payment and even if there are some issues, at least have courtesy to discuss with me".

I am really not sure whether I should stop working on his project or continue and hope he'll make payment soon. I am really disappointed and hate chasing clients rather working on cool projects.

Hard lesson learnt never ever trust client blindly huhhh..I never liked this video until now

I am doing great business but struggling with cash flow

Thanks to changing economic and social dynamics, India is producing Entrepreneurs at very good rate and young people are more inclined towards Entrepreneurship rather then job. They have great Entrepreneurs to look upon and get motivated to ditch our job offers.

Here is one thing you may find Indian Entrepreneur saying here quite often; I am doing great business but struggling with cash flow.

There are few solid reason why Indian Entrepreneurs are saying this

1.      In-experience of managing money - Unfortunately we didn't have much money in our hand from our parents in childhood so we never got used to it; never felt the urgency of learning how to manage it. As of now more and more young people are inclining towards Entrepreneurship and failing to get hold of money.

2.      Falling towards luxury in initial days - As money starts flowing from business they start to use that money as their piggy bank and take something out every now and then for fulfilling their wants (WANTS are something you don't need desperately but if you get it, it will give you luxury). We all deserve the luxury as we have worked hard to make our business successful but it should be last thing for the Entrepreneurs at-least in your initial days (Minimum 3 years).

3.      Lack of guidance - Indian Entrepreneurship ecosystem lacks mentors. Most of the small business run by single person or with few partners. They never set their foot in conferences and doesn't have mentor who can guide them how to manage money and make the best use of cash flow.

4.      Replicating US culture - United States is un-doubtedly a country filled with awesome entrepreneurs and they have created and creating fortune for themselves and for country. Here we follow them blindly. AAAhh how good Google's office is, I'll build the same kind of cool office. As we get some profit, we immediately start investing lots of money creating awesome office but this will be of no use if you can't pay your employees on time. Great offices aren't ones who have fancy cabins, big cafeteria and Xbox for employees but great offices are those filled with happy and motivated peoples.

We are now nation with most young minds and excited towards becoming Entrepreneur; we really need to spend wisely. It's our responsibility to share with our younger generation how they can use their money in growth of their business rather then falling in trap of luxury.
