Fuck You Pay Me

Fuck you pay me  :(

I never dreamt of using these words to my clients, my loving clients. They were very good to me, appraised my work so much. Promised me lots of work and I was working for them unconditionally without even asking them to pay invoices on time as I was confident they will pay me soon.

Now months are passing and what I am getting from them, YOU HAVE ASSURANCE from my side to get paid soon but not now or I have got something great in my bucket and I have put this project on back burner for 6 months so I'll pay you after 6 months. WOW! But I need to pay wages to my employees and I can't say them that you have assurance that you will get paid but for sometime please live without any money, you can go for fast for 6 months its good for health or lend money from bank to live you life which they were enjoying with their salaries.

Client don't understand this, according to them delay in delivery is un-professional and delay in payments is  ABSOLUTELY FINE and otherwise they will not give you good feedback or post something bad about you on Social Media (I hate social media for this because how hard you justify yourself there are still chances your reputation will get hit badly from that ugly comment or video or blog) we can't utter a word as they have got whatever they need from us.

What is even worse if you have client in other country as it becomes really hard to chase them, thanks to Voicemail they don't even have to worry about picking my call AWESOME.

Sometime ago I read a discussion over linkedin that Elance is dead and soon Likedin will be dead, is this because of India? LOL really, I mean really. Whenever good company or individual gets the work and complete that on time, what they deserve delay in payments which don't even frustrating and even heart breaking. "I am doing awesome job and now why there is delay in payment and even if there are some issues, at least have courtesy to discuss with me".

I am really not sure whether I should stop working on his project or continue and hope he'll make payment soon. I am really disappointed and hate chasing clients rather working on cool projects.

Hard lesson learnt never ever trust client blindly huhhh..I never liked this video until now

I am doing great business but struggling with cash flow

Thanks to changing economic and social dynamics, India is producing Entrepreneurs at very good rate and young people are more inclined towards Entrepreneurship rather then job. They have great Entrepreneurs to look upon and get motivated to ditch our job offers.

Here is one thing you may find Indian Entrepreneur saying here quite often; I am doing great business but struggling with cash flow.

There are few solid reason why Indian Entrepreneurs are saying this

1.      In-experience of managing money - Unfortunately we didn't have much money in our hand from our parents in childhood so we never got used to it; never felt the urgency of learning how to manage it. As of now more and more young people are inclining towards Entrepreneurship and failing to get hold of money.

2.      Falling towards luxury in initial days - As money starts flowing from business they start to use that money as their piggy bank and take something out every now and then for fulfilling their wants (WANTS are something you don't need desperately but if you get it, it will give you luxury). We all deserve the luxury as we have worked hard to make our business successful but it should be last thing for the Entrepreneurs at-least in your initial days (Minimum 3 years).

3.      Lack of guidance - Indian Entrepreneurship ecosystem lacks mentors. Most of the small business run by single person or with few partners. They never set their foot in conferences and doesn't have mentor who can guide them how to manage money and make the best use of cash flow.

4.      Replicating US culture - United States is un-doubtedly a country filled with awesome entrepreneurs and they have created and creating fortune for themselves and for country. Here we follow them blindly. AAAhh how good Google's office is, I'll build the same kind of cool office. As we get some profit, we immediately start investing lots of money creating awesome office but this will be of no use if you can't pay your employees on time. Great offices aren't ones who have fancy cabins, big cafeteria and Xbox for employees but great offices are those filled with happy and motivated peoples.

We are now nation with most young minds and excited towards becoming Entrepreneur; we really need to spend wisely. It's our responsibility to share with our younger generation how they can use their money in growth of their business rather then falling in trap of luxury.

Please don't share your business idea with everyone, they may spoil it.

Thanks to "Social Network" movie based on Mark Zuckerberg, inspiring kids from India to create something cool and creative from there dorm room. I also have someone with similar kind of passion and idea in my family. He wants to start something by his own from his dorm room and initially he came up with good idea.

Starting a socially connected job + business partnership classified, where people can find jobs for themselves or join hands with dorm room Entrepreneurs who are working on some good idea which can be great ideas in coming years.

Initially everything was right he had simple and clear idea but something has drastically changed. After he discussed idea with his friends/family (including me) people gave him ideas, so many ideas, more then he needed.

Now his idea has become almost replica of Naukri.com + Indeed.com + Skillpages. Now I feel very bad about him, if he didn't go to everyone he must have completed his website long ago. Now he is on the trail of creating big job portal (In terms of long list of features) to fight with giants like Naukri.com, Monsterjobs.com, Indeed.com etc.

I would request every kid resting on bed looking towards ceiling and just get an idea, please don't go to everyone and share your idea. They will always come up what if you add this, and this, and this. Keep it close to your heart like you used to keep your piggy bank and make good use of it and then flaunt it with everybody what good have you done with that.

If you want to share it with someone, share with who really understand you, your idea or can help you in nurturing that idea in real meaning(not just asking you to add more and more features).

Trust your idea and judgement and surprise everyone.

How can you Find an Awesome Web Design Team?

We all know finding right web design team is touch challenge for every Entrepreneur. Your website represents your business and spreads words about your service or product so it is critical to choose right team.
Here awesome blog post written by Fresco Sites team to find awesome web designers quickly
How can you Find an Awesome Web Design Team?
How can one determine or find the quality of a product, say an iPhone or a wallet, or a BMW? Simple, you just pick it up and inspect the product or the stitching or just take it for a test drive. But, online businesses and products are different.
The last thing you want to do is spend your precious time and money in developing a website that is not only distasteful in design or usability – but really does nothing for your business.
Evaluating web design companies often involves assessing their portfolio, their cost, experience and references.
Here are a few additional tips on how you can find the best web design company – easily.
local-seo2
  • 1.      Perform a Local Search: Technology or not, nothing works like the good old local search. Keep an eye open for local establishments belonging to an industry similar to yours. Try tracking their online success and chances are that there is a company who has the magic key to success. You may also find references from friends and family who are running businesses in the same locality as yourself. A casual meet and greet may also put you right in front of a freelance designer or web design company who is actually really good at his or her work.
google-search
  • 2.      Google Search: “When in doubt, Google!” “Google-ing” as we all put it is evidently the new age mantra. This search engine giant is without doubt one of the most effective resources through which you will be able to find the designer of your dreams. By making relevant online searches you will be able to come across some highly talented web designers and companies that provide effective and affordable design services. Make it a point to go through their portfolio and their reviews that will be easily available through the search engine.

  • 3.     Hire on Elance or Odesk: If it is more personalized service that you want, consider logging on to Elance or Odesk to find some freelance web designers and developers. On these portals you can go through thousands of qualified professional profiles and select one that suits your budget and qualification requirement. You can also select professionals based on their feedback rating allowing you to make well informed hiring decisions.

  • 4.     Leveraging Craigslist: Craigslist is also a great resource to post job requirements and find other people who are willing to offer to you their design services. With a very well geographically segregated database, it is rather simple to get in touch with designers working in and around your business.

smashing-magazine-logo

  • 5.     Dribble/Smashingmagazin: If you are looking for companies or freelancers who are extremely design focused and your idea needs so much design creativity then go for dribble.com or smashingmagazine.com there you can find bunch of very good web designers free or by spending some dollars.

References-image

  • 6.        Ask for References: So once you have drilled down the choices and have bunch of companies or designer in hand to work on your project ask them for references. Most web design firms will give you references if you make a request. However, chances are that most of the references they provide will have only good things to say about their business. The key to shortlist those references that have continued working with them for more over a year. This is a good indication that the design firm has been able to positively influence the business.
Not the least, you can always combine one of more methods of hiring a design company to make sure you have the back-up of reliable references and recommendations from people you know.

Request to Entrepreneurs

I have started my journey of being Entrepreneur and loving each up and down, as all of us do. These days I am meeting so many people each day and learning so much from them which making me feel confident each passing day. I met with some people who also like to start their business but feeling confused how to move forward, this inspired me to do something for all of us.

I have created a Facebok fan page (Click Me) where I'll share about technology, environment and entrepreneurs as well members can discuss and share their experiences as well what they have learnt.

Here I am especially focused to small business and their stories which I can share with my community and help us to learn and move forward.

I am requesting you to share your stories with us by sending your stories at hi@cgcolors.com or send message on our our Facebook Fan page.

Thanks
